The wife and I were debating about a place to eat, and she suggested we try this place. She raved to me how excellent the food was, so obviously I was really looking forward to it. Once we get inside and easier about 5 minutes, the hostess approaches us, and says "For 2? Right this way please." What happened to, "Hello, how are you?" Or "Welcome to Thai Garden"? What's worse is that she led us to the smallest table for 2 I've ever seen in my life! I thought they wetter going to give us booster seats to be able to eat! Other couples were seated at normal sized tables. We turned around and left. Such unprofessional service!!! We went to Red Lobster a few doors over, and before we finished stepping through the outer door, we were greeted the way customers are supposed to be greeted. If the owner of Thai Garden, ever reads this, make sure you teach your hosts and hostesses that simple manners can go an extremely long way in creating a great dining experience.

Delicious! Best Thai in Jacksonville...and I've tried them all! Asked our fabulous waitress for recommendations on her favorites, which I tried and were exceptional! Good wine list. Great menu! Great spice! Loved everything about my meal! The restaurant was full of "regulars" which speaks volumes for the restaurant! Will definitely be back!

Amazing Thai food! I would highly recommend. I had the red curry and asked for no potatoes and were more than happy to not add potatoes. I also have the fresh spring rolls with their special sauce. I will have to admit, I really wanted peanut sauce and was at first reluctant to get them, but the special sauce is super good with the rolls. Unfortunately I had forgot that I had to be someplace while i was eating and only at half my curry, but the waiter and I think owner were super nice and polite. I will be returning again when i come to visit Jacksonville.

The staff was friendly and the portions were planty. I will definitely be back.

Situated on Blanding in a stip mall, attractively decorated in Thai themed decor, cloth napkins and subtle lighting makes for a pleasant dinning experience. The food was authentic and quite tasty but $15 for a chicken curry entre is way out of line with most Thai restaurants. The curry was good although the chicken meat sparse and overcooked. Drunken fried rice/noodle entre was also good but at level 6 too hot. I found the TV distracting and not consistent with the caliber restaurant they are trying to convey and the crying infant didnt help either! Dinner for two was almost $50 with a beer, 1 appetizer , two entres and tip. Don't think we'lll be back because of the excessive prices.

The owners seem reserved but very nice! I always order to go for a pad Thai and they always have it fresh and ready. The waiter is an American guy that is nice too. The lunch prices are the best for the portions. I had to wait on my order one day and the owner brought me a glass of water even thought it was take out. So nice! Always returning

Only 3 tables at 8 on Monday and service was very good. Had the ginger stir fry with chicken . Great flavor and spice. Very fresh and fast. Would like to try other dishes next time. Just have to get over no one else in restaurant .

I ordered chicken pho for takeout. It was around 10 dollars and I could have had 3 meals from this pho. The woman I ordered from asked how hot I wanted it and gave me a scale from 1-6. I asked for 3, because it was right in the middle. This pho gave me tingly lips from the spicy-ness. I did talk to someone after who told me that Thai is very spicy, so this may have been on par with a level 3, just be aware of the spice level if you order the pho. I think I will go with a 2 next time. I would totally eat here again, tasty food and 3 meals for 10 dollars, oh yeah.

I have tried a lot of Thai food in Jacksonville and was not impressed at all. I paid $15 for a small bowl of veggies and curry and the taste was super bland. I will not go back.

First of all, I love Thai food. My neighbors had never had it and me and my boyfriend are Thai Food junkies. So we went to Thai Garden. First of all, I don't see why a place that is so cheaply put together needs an "extensive" wine menu with bottle pricing. The fake half walls between the tables with the fake foliage looked extremely tacky along with the beyond uncomfortable black metal chairs. (I have also worked in the restaurant industry for 8+ years). The bar that was set up in the back was small and the atmosphere over all was literally "Trying to hard" and the music was super quiet so all the tables where awkwardly quiet. So because our neighbors have some how never had Thai food ever in their life, we decided to take them to Thai Garden with it being by our house and we hadn't tried it yet. We usually go down to Manilia (spelling?) and they are amazing. But we wanted to try a new place since we just moved her from Seattle. I insisted that they order Pad Thai. The most basic Thai dish you could probably ease someone in with. I ordered it as well because everyone loves Pad Thai, and when we got our plates i couldn't be more disappointed. It was literally a plate of noodles in soy sauce ( it tasted like a salt lick) with a couple sprouts and crushed peanuts on the side. And I seriously couldn't get over how salty it was and there was basically no other flavor other than salt. It was gross. My neighbors hated it. We had to send it back and I'm sorry, like i said, I was in the industry for years and I even have a hard time sending food back. So it took the server about 25 minutes to come check on how we liked our food. ( Word for the wise servers, do a 2 minute check back so your customer isn't angry and hungry because you've ignored them and that's enough time to see if they actually liked their food and almost every place does it) So now, not only am i hungry, i have a plate of salty noodles staring at me, with now 3 disappointed guests. The server finally came up and I told him that this tastes nothing like Pad Thai and that I frequent Thai Resturants.... He then started to argue with me about what Pad Thai is.... Thats where I draw a line. I was not going to write a review but that set me past the edge. Rude service, cheap atmostphere, horrible food. Thats why I am writing this. I was not please at all.

Delicious! I started with the wonton soup, it was spicy with 3 wontons and a simple but delicious broth. I then had the duck special with garlic sauce (not fried) and it was amazing, it came with vegetables and steamed rice. Some of the best duck I've had. Great service too. Comfortable restaurant, small and open.

Consistently good. You get a huge portion for what you pay. They let you select from several heat level options to get the right amount of heat. And the service has always been good. Try the coconut soup.
(5)Jason R.
Great green curry! Red curry was also very good! Delicious overall! A bit pricey but that was expected...we ain't in Thailand!^.~
(4)Debbie F.
I had lunch here today.I had the red curry chicken. It was not what I am used to but it was tasty. It was not sweet but was a little spicey.
(3)Mark B.
Good Thai restaurant. Here for lunch again. Had Pad Pen and it was really spicy. Asked for medium. More spice than I expected. Flavorful and seemed fresh ingredients. Very poor on desert suggestions. Appeared they did not want to sell my any. Felt like I was unconvincing them for asking. Why do so many servers fail at this last impressionable step. Maybe just me. Good value for

First time eating here and this place has won me over! This is now my new favorite Thai restaurant. The food was fantastic and I enjoyed it very much. The service was also very great. Our waitress was wonderful and gave us some great suggestions. The prices are a little higher than other Thai places I have been to in Jax but to be fair their food is far better than a lot of the other places. We also ordered a few different appetizers to get an Idea of what dishes would really appeal to us. Glad we did because they were all fantastic. I seen one or two reviews stating that the portions here were small and I would have to disagree. I found the portions to be fair and satisfying. If you eat here and decide to have dessert you MUST try the Berry fried Ice cream! Its just fantastic!
(5)Amanda N.
First time here and definitely will be back. The fresh spring rolls were to die for w a spicy sauce that wasn't the traditional peanut sauce. My chicken pad Thai w 4 spice was the right heat and delicious as well. And the fried ice cream w berry sauce was bomb.com . The waiter was phenomenal. Usually I can't say that w places in jax. He gave suggestions, great product knowledge, friendly and even comped my iced coffee bc he forgot but remembered maybe 5 min later. Very sweet.

Went here with my mom and dad while there were visiting from Guam (they love Thai food and have eaten it for probably 20+ years and have even visited Bangkok) We were all happy with our food. They wouldn't say it's their favorite ever, but if we lived in the area, we would probably frequent this restaurant. Good flavor, okay price and portion size. Went at lunch and the male server made us feel a little bad for sticking to what we know we love: pad Thai. OKAY, I'll admit, compared to most people we know we have a somewhat adventurous food appetite but there are people who eat way more exotic than we do and we know that. He just could have suggested a bit more politely instead of making us feel like there was something wrong with us for REALLY liking pad Thai. I also got panang which was very yummy. This is the cleanest and most comfortable Thai restaurant we have been to in Jax.
(4)Sam B.
The food here was great. We had duck in red curry and Pad Thai. It was just awesome. Good place for a nice quiet dinner.

The wait staff is 5 stars. The Thai Tea wins 1 star for getting the color right. The cream they use must have a distinct 'aged' taste about it or it was old. I took about 3 sips hoping that my taste buds were lying. STAY AWAY FROM THE THAI ICED TEA & save yourself $3.50. The Chicken Satay was really good, so that garners 5 stars. The Chicken Pad See Ew gets 4 stars. It was actually a heaping amount (contrary to what other reviewers lead me to suspect). It tasted way better than Bangkok Thai nearby and Tuptim Thai's by NAS Jax. The former was bland as could be, while the latter was overpowered in whatever they use for ingredients. Thai Garden's was enjoyable, but not to par with what I've come to call my favorite Thai dish. The star average I came up with probably should lean more towards a 4, but man, the Thai Iced sucked. That is all.

The only weird thing is that it was completely silent. It was a little warm in there but the food was so good I would definitely go back! I had the Red Curry Shrimp.
(4)S B.
My wife and I have made this our favorite Thai in orange park. And Jacksonville. And a much as I travel, one of the best I have found. We were told on our last visit that the chef team has been changed. And it seems even better! We highly recommend this restaurant.
(5)Amanda P.
Food was sooooo sooooo soooo good!!!! And I hardly ever compliment food. I am so not easily impressed. However, my one complaint would be that in my pad Thai, I ordered the dinner portion chicken and shrimp.. I got maybe 3 shrimp and a few shavings of chicken breast. For 15 I expected more than just noodles... But that won't stop me from going back!!
(4)Craig R.
The BEST Thai place I have ever ventured in. Authentic Thai foods are definitely at this location. Presentation is beautiful. The wait staff is wonderful!! The Chicken Satay is a must as an appetizer!
(4)Kristen M.
Best kept secret in Orange Park. Best restaurant in Clay County! (I know the bar isn't super high, but still...). Always fresh. Always a beautiful presentation. Tried several different dishes, and they're all good. Have been in much fancier restaurants and not had nearly as good service as we've had here. Don't be put off by the the ugly strip mall exterior. This place is a real gem.

Best Thai food that I have had around Jacksonville yet! I had the peanut curry and it was amazing. My husband had the pad thai and loved it. The Thai tea was great too.
(5)Mari G.
I've been to a couple Thai places before and know that they're usually more expensive than other type of restaurants, but this was ridiculously. Nothing looked so outrageously priced until you see the portion size. They emphasize presentation more than anything else, which can be nice, but you need to feed your customers, too. The food itself was delicious. I like the way it was spiced. The waiter was attentive, but we were the only ones in the restaurant so it was probably hard not to be. (They had only been open for an hour or so when we went, I'm sure it gets more business later in the day.) I enjoyed the food, just wish there was more of it.
(3)Keith E.
One of the better Thai establishments since moving back to Jacksonville. The food isn't "Americanized" which is a killer for me when dining at a Thai restaurant. My Thai wife even enjoyed it. Would defintely go back again

This is probably one of the best Thai Restaurants I have ever been to. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and after eating at this place you can't help but wonder: what the heck is this place doing in Orange Park FL? They have a fantastic pad thai which can't be beat. Sometimes pad thai can be dry - not at Thai Garden. Their curry dishes are full of flavor, their noodle dishes are all fantastic, and their fried ice cream - AMAZING. I recently moved to Boston and have searched high and low for a thai restaurant that is on par with Thai Garden. No luck yet. I guess I'll just have to get my fix when visiting my parents...

If there is a -5 stars this place would get it. My sister and I ate there and got really sick. I had to call out of work for 2 days cause I had explosive diarrhea and vomiting. I would definitely avoid this place at all costs!

Very good thai for a strip mall restaurant in OP. Not my favorite in Jax or OP, but very authentic. good menu selection and AND you can chose your heat level on the spicy dishes,...1-6 level....i always get the 6. It will clear you up for sure! The egg roll appetized was outstanding. Attentive service! Reasonable prices!!
(4)Krishelle H.
Great variety, great food. Good service and overall a really good Thai restaurant for the area!
(4)Bonnie W.
We were staying in Orange Park just for one night - did not know the area and we were driving a busy highway trying to find a place to eat. To our delight, we happened upon this little restaurant tucked into a strip mall among all the chain restaurants. We gave it a try and were delighted. The staff was attentive, the food was delicious, and they were able to steer us to items on their menu we would enjoy - not fans of hot, spicy food. I would definitely go again, if I was in the area.
(4)Lisa S.
The food at Thai Garden is excellent. I haven't found better pad thai or chicken satay anywhere. The stir fried ginger and red curry are another couple of my favorite dishes.

First off - I have never had Thai before, so I really don't have a basis for comparison... but here goes. The wife and I went out for dinner with a friend of ours and decided on something that I have never had.... Thai was on our lips so that's when we headed out to the Thai Garden. When we walked in it was a little disappointing. The reception area was claustrophobic feeling and it took about 5 min before someone came to seat us. Now, I don't like to judge on a first impression basis so I stuck around to see what it was Really all about.... We were seated and promptly brought glasses of water. Our waiter took about another 3 min before he emerged from the back. He was nice and greeted us with a smile (though he wasn't much help for my being a first timer). My wife had worked in a Thai restaurant before and they rated their heat on a "star" level. This place rates on "peppers". We ordered the Satay and the Crispy Spring Rolls. O M G the stuff is GREAT! Now I cant wait for dinner to show up... I ordered the Pad Thai with Beef and the wife had her Chicken Fried Rice. I ordered mine with 1 pepper (though they put it on her plate!) so it wasn't overly spicy... er - spicy at all. Our guest orders the Masaman Curry (to which he had 20 "peppers") that was great if you could get past the eye hole burning heat of it all. So after stuffing ourselves like little piggies, we ordered from the dessert menu. Now I have heard alot of talk about the sticky rice with mangoes - but never expected to be in love with the flavors. We also ordered the fried ice cream which comes with a berry sauce and a caramel sauce. I must have been living under a rock for the last several years but this was great stuff. Even the other two agreed that it was the best they have had in a while. Overall great experience, I would go back for more... Slow service and lack of attention from the server knocks it down to 4 stars but Well worth the time spent!

this place isnt impressive. i got a pretty basic thai dish -- panang curry & it was horrible.. the thai tea tasted old. after all the rants about how delicious this place was -- i was SEVERLY disappointed.
(2)Richard J.
First off the restaurant isn't much for ambiance. The food however is awesome. I had the spring rolls, tom ka gai, and massamun(4 peppers). Total $32. I enjoyed everything. My only regret was after the main course I was full and couldn't try one of their desserts. The sticky mango rice or ice cream with fried bananas sound delicious. I will definitely be back.
(4)Pat C.
Food was good but I thought it was a bit too much oil in all dishes we tried. For the money spent, we could have had a much nicer meal elsewhere.
